Adopt a Highway

For 19 years Park Ave UMC has been responsible for cleaning trash from a two mile stretch of PA 997 from Rt. 11N to the foot of Air Hill. Twice a year volunteers meet for breakfast at Greenvillage followed by trash pickup.

Cluster Clothing Ministry

Along with First UMC and St. Paul UMC, Park Ave supports the cluster clothing ministry. Housed at First UMC at the corner of S Second and Washington Streets, this ministry provides free clothing, shoes, and household goods. Park Ave serves as a storage site for offseason clothes, larger items, and holiday decorations.

Maranatha Food Pantry

Several times a year we collect food for the Maranatha Food Pantry on Loudon Street in downtown Chambersburg. They distribute food to residents of Chambersburg, Fayetteville, and St. Thomas depending on eligibility.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Through the efforts of our crafters, prayer shawls are available for anyone in need. These crocheted shawls are prayerfully created and blessed during a Sunday worship service. They are offered to all of our homebound members and friends and anyone experiencing grief or illness.

Worship at Shook Home and Menno Haven

Several times a year our church leads worship at Shook Home and Menno Haven. We extend the love of Christ through preaching, music, and prayer. In December we share Christmas carols.
